Single Ply Roofing Solutions
Delivering high-quality performance and durability for flat roofs.
Single Ply Roofing is the Go-To Standard
Single ply roofing is one of the best-known types of roofing materials for commercial, manufacturing, and industrial facilities. Currently, single ply roofing has a 70% market share and is the roofing choice of national companies like Wal-Mart, Home Depot, and Target.
This roofing product line comes in six, eight, and ten-foot-wide rolls that are 100 feet long each. Single-ply membranes look like thick sheets of white rubber, which are rolled out on the roof and sealed with a heat welder. Because they are white, single ply membranes reflect UV rays, which can help decrease your cooling costs in warmer months.
We use multiple brands of membranes, which allow us to meet your budget and facility needs. Each membrane type is designed to deliver superior performance and durability, depending upon your region’s weather conditions.
Also, single ply is far lighter than any other kind of roofing system. It is better for the environment, easy to repair, and requires less maintenance than other types of commercial roofing systems.
There are two main types of single ply membranes for commercial roofs: TPO and PVC roofing. They both look like thick sheets of white rubber and are highly reflective. Superior to hot tar roofing, single ply roofing can last anywhere from 30 to 40 years when properly installed and maintained.
10 Year No Leak Guarantee
We offer single ply because we know it is the best flat roofing system on the market. After years of using traditional hot tar roofing, we turned to single ply because we genuinely believe it is the superior option for our clients. It has a proven track record and is durable, Class-A fire-rated, and reflective.
That's why we offer an industry-leading ten year no leak guarantee in addition to long-term manufacturer warranties. And we put each project through a rigorous quality inspection before it's marked complete.
Advantages of Single Ply Roofing
Lasts More than 30 Years
Single ply roofing has a longer life expectancy than traditional hot tar and torch down roofing. Also, it resists water pooling and chemicals that can ruin conventional roofs. In fact, single ply roofing can last anywhere from 30 to 40 years.
Saves Money
Currently, single ply is the same price as hot tar and torch roofing. However, it is faster to install and lasts two to three times longer, which translates to cost savings for our clients.
Protects the Environment
Single ply membranes are bright white and have highly reflective properties that reflect UV rays, which decreases cooling costs in the summer months. Single ply is also 100% recyclable.
Safe Installation
Unlike hot tar roofing, single ply does not involve the use of open flames or dangerous chemicals. This makes it safer and easier to install, usually taking less time than traditional systems.
While the installation will depend on your situation and building, our single ply roofing installation typically begins with cleaning or removing your existing roof before installing insulation. There are three main types of insulation options you can choose from: Polyisocyanurate (Polyiso), Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), and Extruded Polystyrene (XPS).
Next, we will install the insulation layers by laying them out on the roof. Typically, a cover board is placed on top for the membrane to be attached . The membrane is either mechanically fastened or chemically adhered to the cover board.
As we apply the membrane sheets, we roll it out, so the sides overlap. Finally, a heat welder is used to seal the single-ply membranes to one another.
During the installation process, we closely follow all manufacturer best practice recommendations. We see that every roof detail, pipe flashing, drain, curb, and more are properly addressed by the technicians.
When the installation is complete, each new roof undergoes a stringent quality check to make sure the job has been finished to our high standards and quality workmanship.
